Most people have a few questions before they let someone into their home. Here are the answers we get asked for most — booking, what’s included, what it costs, and what happens if something isn’t right. If yours isn’t here, call or text us at 415-573-3588, or email [email protected].

You fill in your details in the quote form — home size, condition, the tier you want, any extras. Availability is real-time, so the times you see are times we can actually work. When you submit, your date and time are held for about 30 minutes while you pay the deposit through Stripe. Held, not booked — nothing is reserved until the deposit lands. Once it does, you’re all set: locked date, arrival window, locked price, and a confirmation email with the details. If the hold expires, it cancels itself and there’s no fee.
Three situations don’t finish instantly, and we’d rather tell you now than surprise you. If you mark your home’s condition as heavy or restoration, the price is worked out automatically and then reviewed before we confirm anything — nothing charged, no slot held, and we call you to schedule. If the job needs three days or more, or we can’t price it automatically, it goes to a custom quote — again, nothing charged and no slot held. And if your ZIP is outside our three cities, we can’t book it at all, though you can ask us to let you know if that changes. Get your price — it takes about two minutes.
Whatever the widget shows is what’s open, so you can book as far out or as close in as availability allows. Popular slots go first, so if you have a firm date in mind — a move-out walkthrough, a landlord inspection — it’s worth putting it in early. We don’t offer same-day or rush service.
Some jobs are too big for one day. If yours runs past about nine hours, we split it across two consecutive days, and you’ll see both dates before you pay anything. Anything needing three days or more becomes a custom quote so we can plan it properly with you.
No. Plenty of our customers are at work, at school pickup, or out of town. You tell us at booking how we get in — key, lockbox, door code, building staff — and we work from that. Access codes are used only for your service, and we’ll delete yours on request.
There are also rooms we won’t walk into unless you check them at booking: home offices with documents or electronics out, nurseries, pet sleeping and crate areas, rooms with valuables in view, and anything locked. That’s on purpose. Your home, your call — and if you’d like those rooms cleaned, just check them and we’ll take care of them.
The standard clean is our Essential tier at maintained condition, and it covers the rooms you’d notice first.
“Reachable” means from the floor or a two-step stool. Anything above that is out of scope, and so is ladder work. A few things people assume are included aren’t: bed-making and linen changes, inside appliances, interior windows and baseboards all sit in a higher tier or come as paid extras. If you want any of those, they’re easy to add — see what a house cleaning covers for the full picture before you book.
Essential is our standard clean, and it’s complete in itself — the room-by-room list above, start to finish. Most homes on a regular schedule stay in good shape on Essential alone. It doesn’t include bed-making or linen changes.
Complete adds interior windows, appliance fronts, exterior cabinet detailing, light fixtures, blinds, inside the microwave, and bed-making with fresh linens. Signature builds on Complete with specialty detailing, range hood degreasing, two eligible add-ons included at no charge, priority scheduling, and a walkthrough with your cleaner before work starts.
If your home hasn’t had a professional clean in a while, a tier upgrade isn’t always the answer — a deep cleaning first reset may be. Here’s how a standard clean and a deep clean differ so you can pick once and stop thinking about it.
Yes. Sygora supplies all products and equipment, every visit. You don’t need to leave anything out or restock anything.
If you’d rather we used eco/green products in your home, that’s available as a paid add-on — just select it at booking and your cleaner brings those instead.
Yes, and you pick them yourself at booking. The categories are inside appliances (oven, fridge, microwave), interior windows, baseboards, inside cabinets, walls, balcony or patio, dishes, laundry and linens, pre-clean organizing, decluttering by the hour, eco/green products, carpet by the room, rug cleaning, and upholstery steam cleaning. There’s a $30 minimum per add-on.
Prices vary by item, so rather than list them here we show each one with its price as you build your quote. You can also see full pricing laid out in one place. Nothing gets added to your clean that you didn’t check yourself.
One-bedroom, Essential tier, maintained condition, San Francisco. Oakland and Berkeley run about 10% below.
House cleaning starts at $179 in San Francisco — that’s a one-bedroom, Essential tier, in maintained condition, with no plan or commitment needed. From there the price reflects your home’s size, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, its condition, the tier you choose, any add-ons, and whether there are pets — the extra dander and hair work is priced in for house and deep cleaning. Every line shows up in your quote before you pay, and nothing lands on it that you didn’t choose. Oakland and Berkeley pricing runs about 10% below San Francisco.
A few other starting points: deep cleaning starts at $326 in San Francisco and $293 in Oakland and Berkeley, and move-out and move-in cleans start at $299. If you’d rather have us on a schedule, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly recurring plans are available at a lower rate — recurring rates are commitment-based, see the Cancellation Policy. Plans include two free skips per rolling six months, and a pause longer than 60 days ends the plan.
Those are starting figures, not estimates of your job. The quote form gives you your actual number in about two minutes, with everything itemized before you pay.
The deposit is 30% of your total with a $50 minimum, taken at checkout through Stripe. Your card number never touches our systems. The rest is due on completion, the same day, by whatever method you prefer — we don’t auto-charge the card on file for service.
That card stays on file for one reason only: fees or clawbacks under the Cancellation Policy. Never for the clean itself.
Life moves. Cancel at least 7 days before your clean and your deposit is refunded in full; with less notice, it’s applied toward the cancellation fee. Fees scale as the notice gets shorter — the cancellation policy sets out exactly how.
There’s also some room the first time. A first residential cancellation with written notice is always waived, so an honest change of plans early on doesn’t cost you anything. That grace doesn’t cover no-shows, and it doesn’t extend to short-term-rental hosts.
Tell us. If anything’s not right, tell us within 24 hours and we’ll re-clean the affected areas free. A call or a text does it.
You’ll have the same dedicated cleaner each visit, which is the real fix — they learn your home, so corrections rarely need repeating. Sygora maintains general liability insurance appropriate to a residential cleaning business, and we’re insured and bonded. If something’s damaged, let us know in writing within 24 hours and we’ll look at it case by case. The fastest route is a call or text to 415-573-3588, or get in touch here.
You’ve got a checkout at 11 and a guest at 3, and what you need is the same clean every single time. Turnovers are sold per turnover, in packs: one-off, 4-pack, 5-pack or 6-pack. Quantities of two and three aren’t offered. Airbnb turnovers start at $149 per turnover on a 6-pack in San Francisco ($134 in Oakland and Berkeley) — a single one-off turnover is $179. A linen swap is included with every turnover at no extra charge, not as an add-on.
Packs run 4 months for the 4-pack, 5 months for the 5-pack and 6 months for the 6-pack, with one 90-day extension on request at our discretion. The deposit is taken on one turnover only, not the whole pack. One thing to know up front: the first-time cancellation waiver applies to residential customers, not to hosts, so late changes on a turnover follow the standard policy — worth a look before you pick a pack. Full scope and pack details are on the Airbnb turnover cleaning page, and the linen swap stays included on every turnover in it.
